Supporting the Next Generation of Talent through Career Preparation

In an ever-evolving job market, fresh graduates and young job seekers need more than just academic knowledge to secure employment, they need confidence, practical skills, and job ready tools. Recognising this need, Career Cube (division under Training Cube International), in collaboration with Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS), launched the Program Persiapan Kerjaya Ready2Hire, a 3-day, 2-night intensive career development bootcamp held at Hotel Park Inn by Radisson, Putrajaya.

Tailored specifically for asnaf youths aged 18 to 35 who are still studying, working part-time, or currently unemployed, the program was designed to provide holistic support in preparing participants for the real-world workforce. With fully sponsored accommodation, meals, and transport, the initiative ensured accessibility while focusing on practical job-seeking strategies, personal development, and professional communication.

What This Career Preparation Program Covered

The program began with an introduction to goal-setting, where participants explored how to identify their career direction. Day one, also included interactive group activities and mindset-shaping discussions to help participants understand the importance of purpose in their job search journey.

Day two focused on professional image and job application essentials. Participants were guided on how to dress appropriately for interviews, choose suitable colours and maintain a polished appearance. They also took part in a practical resume-writing workshop, where each participant developed a compelling resume tailored to their strengths and background. The afternoon and evening sessions introduced interview etiquette and communication, covering key phases of the interview process, from entering the room to responding confidently to questions.

On day three, the final module explored online job-seeking tools, especially how to build and optimise a LinkedIn profile. Participants received step-by-step guidance on how to present themselves professionally online, enhance visibility to recruiters, and network with potential employers.

Building Confidence, Skill, and Self-Worth

Each session was designed not only to impart knowledge but to empower. From practical resume writing to mock interview preparation and online career branding, the Ready2Hire program aimed to transform participants’ perspectives, from hesitant job seekers into proactive, confident candidates. The supportive environment also encouraged peer learning and motivation among participants from similar backgrounds.

To close the program, Career Cube awarded hampers and exclusive “Job Ready Kits” to the top two groups who demonstrated consistent performance, teamwork, and participation throughout the bootcamp.
